Ashley & William

William is known for being a cool guy who definitely notices when the ladies are interested in him. That's why, when he did a circuit of the rock climbing gym asking his friends if they wanted to go get tacos after climbing, it was definitely an elaborate ruse to stealthily reciprocate Ashley's interest in him. After their friends bailed on them, William, smooth operator that he is, cancelled on Ashley. It was only later that he recongnized his error and made good on the taco date.

While in Hawaii, Ashley signed her and William up for a sunset cruise thinking they would maybe get engaged there. They got to the boat and she noticed his pockets only contained sunscreen, no ring. After the cruise, they met up with her family at the restaurant, too early for their reservation. She inquired about some of the shops nearby, but no, they had to walk fifteen minutes back the way they came. They passed a Buddhist temple, a church with “JESUS” in neon, a cemetery, and a small commune. They arrived at the beach and her mother practically shoved her onto the sand when she tried taking off her shoes with a, “Just go!” It was absolutely perfect, the night sky with a million stars, the calm crashing of waves, and William saying all the right things. Ashley was so excited that she did not wait for him to ask the question. She screamed, “Of course, yes” when he got on one knee.
